I was unloading photos from my phone this morning and noticed that - among the thousand or so on there - quite a few were car or transportation related. None of them merit a full post on their own but taken as a collection? They certainly constitute a good old-fashioned Grab Bag. Like the Statue of Liberty Vector above. Saw that at the Glenmoor Gathering. (I saw it years earlier at the Detroit Auto show too.) I shot a bunch there but I'll only include one more - a car show seems like kind of cheating in this context.

Anyone got an ID? This was at a scrapyard in Michigan's Upper Peninsula so I suspect this one is long gone.

Military vehicles anyone? You have to admit, this thing would be a blast to play with.

The biggest entry: The Presque Isle , shortly after passing through the Soo Locks.

Preston Tucker's house in Ypsilanti. It's still standing. (I have a book on Tucker coming out next year.)

Yes, that's a Harley. I think they'd like to forget they put their name on things like this.

Kinja'd!!!

The biggest wheeled vehicle in the bunch. In the iron range of northern Michigan.

A nice Scout in traffic.

And a fire truck in someone's backyard. Not far from downtown Calumet, Michigan.

And if you haven't had a chance yet, give my podcast a listen. I describe some bizarre but true Lemon Law stories. Here it is.

Ha, my aunt and uncle had one of these! If I recall correctly, it was quick for a golf cart, and the three wheel design was fairly unstable. Before I was born, my brother planted the front tire in a gopher hole on my uncle's land and launched himself out of it catapult style.

I hadn't even thought about the three-wheeled peril!

I wouldn't have taken the pic but I saw the badge. Then I felt really sorry for Harley Davidson owners everywhere.

But I see what you are looking at: The back end of the roofline looks unusual.

The rear fenders had me thinking '65 Pontiac Tempest or similar but the window opening is too rounded. It's got me stumped!

I heard that they rebuilt the kitchen three times and went back and forth between gas and electric heating before deciding on a microwave.

Saw this car at the owner's dealership and he had another one there as well. What's crazy is they were just sitting there in the lobby like they were no big deal. Great photo of it.

I LOVE this car. And I would have no problem driving it. I know it is a bit loud looking but I just love the art.
